As part of the historic renovation team with Commonwealth Architects of Richmond, Virginia, Truesdell Engineering has designed repairs and upgrades for renovation of the historic Masonic Theater in Clifton Forge, Virginia. Construction is now under way, and expectations are that the theater will re-open by 2017.
Work has recently been completed for the primary structure of the Renva W Knowles bridge which will carry pedestrians and cyclists on the Huckleberry Trail over Peppers Ferry Road near the New River Valley Mall. The bridge spans nearly 120 feet across the multi-lane road and has four 70 foot exit segments. Truesdell Engineering worked closely with Gay and Neel, Inc. and ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC to complete the bridge abutment design and span specifications.
Mellow Mushroom has come to Blacksburg! Truesdell Engineering teamed with Architecture, Inc. to design the unique brick-warehouse themed restaurant in downtown Blacksburg, taking over where Backstreets used to be.
The future Meeting House, in the former Taylor Frames building in downtown Blacksburg, is in the process of getting a structural retrofit under the guidance of Truesdell Engineering. The building will be lifted in place and the main floor repaired and strengthened before being re-set on upgraded foundations. Look for the project to be complete by mid 2011!
Truesdell Engineering has provided structural design for the new Chipotle building in downtown Blacksburg.
Construction has been completed on the new clubhouse at the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech .
