Design work has recently been completed for the primary structure of the Renva W Knowles bridge which will carry pedestrians and cyclists on the Huckleberry Trail over Peppers Ferry Road near the New River Valley Mall. The bridge will span nearly 120 feet across the multi-lane road and have four 70 foot exit segments. Truesdell Engineering worked closely with Gay and Neel, Inc. and ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC to complete the bridge abutment design and span secifications. Construction is anticipated to start later in 2011.

The future Blacksburg Tavern, in the former Taylor Frames building in downtown Blacksburg, is in the process of getting a structural retrofit uner the guidance of Truesdell Engineering. The building will be lifted in place and the main floor repaired and strengthened before being re-set on upgraded foundations. Look for the project to be complete by mid 2011!
Truesdell Engineering has provided structural design for the new Chipotle building in downtown Blacksburg.
